Meet The Provider
Meet Robin Shannon FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Robin Shannon is a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been a nurse practitioner since 2013. She can assess, diagnose and treat ages 12 years and older in a wide range of mental health conditions.
Following graduation at Vanderbilt University, Robin was accepted into the Carolinas Healthcare System Center for Advanced Practice Fellowship program, where she was a fellow in urgent care. After the fellowship, Robin continued to work for the Carolinas Healthcare System. Working per diem in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Robin discovered her passion for psychiatric care while running the urgent care in an integrative health practice. She then went back to school for a psychiatric specialty at the University of Cincinnati.
“My personal experience with PTSD and anxiety led me to seeing several psychiatrists, most of whom were cold and robotic. Because of the bad experiences I had in psychiatry, it became my goal and passion to provide sincere and individualized care to my patients.”
In her free time, you can find Robin playing volleyball, reading comics, going to live music shows, and enjoying the outdoors such as camping or snowboarding.
Robin received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Vanderbilt University and received her post-graduate degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts and has up-to-date NPI and DEA licenses. She is accepting new patients at this time.
